NEED TO COME UP WITH TITLE

“I always thought I’d have a home to go to,” says Angela Williams who, along with her husband of 18 years Eddie,  have been living between their car and hotel rooms for the past 6 months. Angie has not been able to consistently work since becoming Eddie’s full-time caretaker after lung cancer left him partially paralyzed and in constant pain. The continuous stress of trying to stay afloat has left Angie and Eddie emotionally, physically, and financially exhausted. “I could go to sleep for a week and still not feel 100%,” Angie says. “There’s sometimes where I’ve wanted to pull a Thelma and Louise and drive our car off the Topin bridge, but I don’t. We both have grandchildren.”

Staunch supporters of President Donald Trump, the couple have applied for federal and state government assistance, but feel they are not receiving support because it’s going to illegal immigrants. “I think he’s gonna make it harder for illegals to get all these benefits that I’m entitled to and they’re not. I don’t think they should be entitled to something that I’ve worked for all my life. There’s gotta be some fairness to this country,” says Angie.
