Hey!
My name is Kayla Bartkowski and I’m a photography, videography, and FAA Part 107 drone certified journalist based in Los Angeles, California open for assignments.
I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2024 with a degree in photojournalism and a minor in international relations. After college, I spent the summer as a photography intern at the Boston Globe, followed by six months in Washington, D.C., where I covered politics and breaking news as an intern with Getty Images. Most recently, I was a year-long fellow with the Los Angeles Times covering general news, features, entertainment, and breaking news.
My work is driven by a deep interest in stories that explore the intersection of climate and the human experience. Outside of journalism, I love spending time outdoors, hiking, climbing, traveling, playing music, and hanging out with friends.
Thank you for stopping by!
